Governor Mazi Nnamdi Kanu, IPOB Leader of the Indigenous people of Biafra, claimed that the newly elected governor Hope Uzodimma had to quit office as the basis for the election of the State Governor of Anambra.
“Senator Hope Uzodimma as Imo State govet and call for fresh elections if they want to be elected in Anambra State.” In emergency broadcasting, Kanu said if we catch anyone who is waving to vote, he will be seen hell.
Uzodimma accused Kanu’s IPOB of leading the attacks in Owerri on Easter Monday on Imo Police Headquarters and Correctional Centre.
A few days later, Uzodimma recalled and blame the state’s aggressive leaders for its assaults.
Declan Emelumba, Imo State Commissioner for Information, was then accused of the attacks by Rochas Okorocha, the former Governor and Senator in the Senate representing Orlu region.
In the broadcast, Kanu claimed that no elections for the governorate of the State of Anambra are scheduled to take place in November.
“It’s going to bring down every electoral building in Anambra. No elections will take place in the State of Anambra. Come out and wrestle your death. In Anambra, there’s no campaign. Why do we have to continue to elect politicians who fight their own people? When we vote in Anambra, he’s going to replicate what happened in Imo State.
