The recent detention of Imo State former governor, Senator Rochas Okorocha, has been called political persecution by Rivers State Governor, Nyesom Wike.
At the children’s ceremony, Wike talked to Uche Nwosu, son of the Okorocha son-in-law, in Abuja on Sunday and former Staff Chief.
“Political prosecution will come after you leave office and you and your family will not experience anything strange. I know they’re going to come after me, but I’m ready for them.”
The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) detained Okorocha last week. He was given bail after two days under the protection of the counter-graft agency.
A sitting Governor of the South South, the Emir and a former Northern Senator were exposed to the Governor before he was released by the assistant of Governor Hope Uzodimma.
