Tinubu dismisses heads of FRCN, NBC, and VON, appoints new Managing Director for NAN.”

On Thursday, President Bola Tinubu gave his approval for the immediate appointment of eight new Chief Executive Officers to head Parastatals and Agencies within the Federal Ministry of Information and National Orientation

These appointments encompass a range of organizations, such as the National Orientation Agency, the Nigerian Television Authority, the Federal Radio Corporation of Nigeria, the National Broadcasting Commission, the Voice of Nigeria, the Advertising Regulatory Council of Nigeria, the News Agency of Nigeria, and the Nigerian Press Council.

These appointments were made within 24 hours of a private meeting between the President and Information Minister Mohammed Idris, which took place at the State House in Abuja.

The Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Ajuri Ngelale, made this announcement in a statement he authored on Thursday, titled ‘President Tinubu Names New Leadership in the Information and National Orientation Sectors.

The new appointments include Mr. Lanre Issa-Onilu as the Director-General of the NOA, Mr. Salihu Dembo retaining his position as DG of NTA, and Dr. Muhammed Bulama stepping in as the DG of FRCN, replacing Dr. Mansir Liman.

Mr. Charles Ebuebu is appointed as the new Director-General of the NBC, and Mr. Jibrin Ndace takes over as DG of the VON, in place of Osita Okechukwu, replacing Balarabe Illelah and Osita Okechukwu, respectively.

In addition, the President has designated Dr. Lekan Fadolapo as the Director-General of ARCON, Mr. Ali Ali as the DG of NAN, and Mr. Dili Ezughah as the Executive Secretary of the Nigerian Press Council.

The President urged the newly appointed leaders in these areas to introduce innovative changes that will provide fresh opportunities for Nigerians. He emphasized the need for effective reform within these crucial government institutions to promote national unity, alter perspectives, and present the nation positively on the global stage.
