WHOA! All 7 of Burna Boy’s Nominations for the 2023 BET Hip-Hop Awards Are Lost

According to reports, Burna Boy, the megastar of Nigeria, lost his seven nominations for awards at the BET 2023.
Grammy-winning Nigerian artist Burna Boy was unexpectedly unable to win from any of his seven nominations at the 2023 BET Hip-Hop Awards, which took place at Atlanta’s Cobb Energy Performing Arts Centre on October 3, 2023, and wasn’t broadcast until last night, Tuesday, October 10, 2023.

Burna Boy competed for three prestigious titles at the much awaited event: “Best Live Performer of the Year,” “Lyricist of the Year,” and “Hip Hop Artist of the Year.” But he was up against fierce competition and fell short against the well-known Kendrick Lamar in each of these categories.

Burna Boy had a difficult night as he lost more important categories, including “Hustler of the Year,” where 50Cent beat him, and “Best Collaboration of the Year,” which went to Lil Durk and J. Cole’s “All My Life,” for “Sittin’ On Top of the World.”

Other nominations for Burna Boy included Song of the Year and Best Hip Hop Video for his song “Sittin’ On Top of the World,” both of which were won by other gifted musicians.

Some Nigerians have expressed dissatisfaction and disbelief over the results, questioning the fairness of the process and believing that Burna Boy should have won at least one award given his outstanding contributions to the music business.
